Weather

The southwest location combined with the high elevation of 6,700 ft provides mild summers and winters.   Climate Data for Grants, NM.  A rare day in summer exceeds 90 degrees and a rare day in winter sees a high below 45.  A few light snows of 3-6 inches is the norm in the winter, it being the driest season of the year. The well above freezing daytime temperatures in the winter prevent the snow from remaining very long. The Southwestern Monsoons provide our main precipitation of the year from July through September, allowing for a green summer season.
